MEKHAYE
(Mek-ka-ya.... means refreshment)
A beautiful setting two miles from downtown Nevada City. It is a perfect place
for those wishing the historic California atmosphere for their storybook
wedding.
The property is beautifully wooded and has many nice open, sunny areas. Oaks,
cedars, pines, firs, madrones, birds and wildlife abound. There are pathways for
walking and talking with rustic tables and chairs scattered throughout remote
seating areas. MEKHAYE was once an old mining camp and the driveway was actually
the old stagecoach toll route into town. Most outbuildings are well over 100
years old and, like our barn, were built on a foundation of mining rock. These
13-acres of privacy have historical interest .Mekhaye has become a favorite
venue for wedding receptions.
